Barnet Wedding Photographer? London Wedding Photographer? UK Wedding Photographers? Thinking about this we answered first with a “yes”, and then a few seconds later an equally impassioned “no”! We have worked everywhere this wedding season from local north London and Hertfordshire wedding venues, to central London, home counties, far away counties, and France….Oui!

In todays global online village, its only right that someone searching for recommended or just great wedding photography should be able to ask the question: “Are you free for my wedding day?” Wherever a person is in the world. Long gone now are the days of only being able to walk down the local high street to the portrait studio shop front, popping in and speaking to one of the very few real choices you may have had in your area for your big day. Well that’s what we vaguely remember when we were kids…Though wedding photography is not like shopping for a best price on Amazon, it’s of course about quality that has real and enduring value over time. There’s nothing wrong with shopping for that quality, and looking as far a field as necessary. We’ve spent so much travelling through the global village of wedding photography recently that it has been hard to update this blog and post on socials as much as we would like. It is secondary to working on images and meeting new couples 🙂

Tewin Bury Farm Wedding Photographers

As frequent Tewin Bury Farm wedding photographers we are always delighted to return to one of Hertfordshire’s most distinctive and popular wedding venues. It is no surprise to us that it was voted Outstanding Venue of the year for both 2009 and 2010. Originally a 17th century farm house and outbuildings, they have all undergone an incredible conversion to one of the best restored barns for a wedding ceremony there is. It is both dramatic and beautiful and not just for hosting a service: when turned around its a great enviroment for a wedding breakfast. Turned around again, it becomes a dance floor and performance area for romantic first dances, a stage for bands or DJ, and generally “boogieing the night away!” The onsite bedrooms are also ideal for bride and groom’s morning preparations. Although we have photographed weddings at Tewin Bury Farm many times, our approach remains the same to keep the photography fresh, spontaneous and as always set the bar high for quality. When you have spent he time and money securing a wedding venue like Tewin, we imagine you will want the best photography of it and your once and only day that your budget will allow.

As well as photographing weddings across central and Greater London and picking up our Time Out Recommended status as Hertfordshire Wedding Photographers the last ten years have seen us working extensively across one of our favourite home counties. From Brockett Hall to Tewin Bury Farm we have had the privilege of working with many wonderful couples on their most special of days. Whether they were looking for recognised shots such as the red bridge at Sopwell House St Albans, the country views of the Three Lakes in Ware or the fountains of Fanhams Hall, we have been there, done them, but still worked every time for the freshness , spontaneity and creativity that a wedding day demands. Every couple is different, as is every wedding day, and no matter how many times we have photographed at a Hertfordshire wedding venue we approach it as if it were the first time. As Brocket Hall wedding photographers of over 10 years busy experience, we have seen the wonderful romance of a wedding day unfold in surroundings from the most modest, to the unquestionably magnificent. The hall has been home to two prime ministers and has welcomed King George IV among its many distinguished guests. Legend also has it that Lady Caroline Lamb first showcased the waltz to high society in its magnificent ballroom. The hall is licensed for civil ceremonies, so if you wish your whole day from wedding preparations of the bride and groom, through to reception, can be spent entirely at Brocket. In the hands of good wedding photographers Brockett Hall’s internal and externals are a beautiful backdrop for superior wedding photos.

We bring four of the highest quality cameras and specialist lenses to every wedding, to ensure that every significant moment is captured in the best possible way, for a lifetime of visually evocative memories. From romantic four poster bedrooms, down stunning stately staircases, through elegant drawing and dining rooms (even the toilets look fabulous!) this venue has it all in spades. Outside the grounds are varied, beautiful, and cry out for couples in love to be photographed in them! Lakes, bridges, waterfalls, secret and romantic nooks and crannies are everywhere. As Leez Priory wedding photographers there is no denying one thing, come rain shine snow or storm, whatever the weather Leez is a beautiful wedding venue. Our last wedding there showed almost every aspect that Britain’s weather has to offer: sunshine, rain, mist, clouds galore then clear blue skies, a golden sunset finishing with a beautiful moonlit night!

Leez Prior wedding venue was winner of Wedding Ideas Magazine’s best venue for two years in a row in 2007 and 2008. More below…

As a wedding photographer you have to love every moment there whatever the weather. You owe it to your happy couple, who have probably spent a small fortune securing the venue, to give them incredible photographic memories. A little bit of history now…

From the thirteenth century Leez Priory was home to a monastery (hence the name) and then three hundred years later the Earl of Warwick built the great house that we now see mainly today on and around the site. Among many famous visitors (including every wedding couple!) was Queen Elizabeth the first. It’s recent notable history is that in 1995 it became the first country house in England to be granted a licence to conduct civil ceremonies.
