We were very conscious about hearing the clicks of the camera on our day (which we had spoken to David about previously) but it was absolutely silent!! Katya S2024-09-21HIRE THIS PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOUR WEDDING!!! David was our wedding photographer and he was absolutely fabulous! Super professional, there was great communication leading up to the event and we felt so taken care of and reassured. David arrived early on the day to scout out the venue and capture all the decorations, and then when the wedding began he was so upbeat, he knew exactly how to make different groups of guests relax and smile/laugh for the photos and he seemed to somehow be everywhere all at once! We have been sent over a thousand stunning photos with each of our guests captured and it's such an incredible gift! We are spoilt for choice! Dan Hayden2024-07-22David and Joanna (and their Son), did a fantastic job at our wedding on the 15th of June 2024 (and an engagement photoshoot). One of the things that stood out about them is that they were very friendly and really interested in what kind of photos YOU want, rather than coming in with their own preconceived ideas of how things should be. This was really appreciated as we wanted an emphasis on taking photos naturally, and capturing people without staging too much - they did a fantastic job! They were accommodating with our requests such as having one photographer follow each of us (at different locations) on the day, and being almost invisible on the day. I don't know how they managed it because they got some amazing shots of us at key moments, and I don't even remember them being close by! The photos were delivered in a timely manner and very easily accessible. As a cherry on top to give you an idea of how personable they are, when there was a brief shower on the day Joanna even lent me her umbrella, very kind! Cl P2024-06-28June 2024 (Review updated) - We have very quickly received the photos from our wedding day. They are great, a real mix of posed and natural photos of us and our guests, and of items/decorations. They all capture the day beautifully. We have received multiple versions of each photo which means we can choose the ones we like best and David has added filters to some which gives a different perspective. He has even sent us a DVD to music of selected photos which we are looking forward to watching in full and which will be great to show family (and he has helpfully added photo number at the top so we can find them). Many of our guests said how much fun David was, and that he really put them at ease. I am so pleased we chose Big Day Weddings as our photographers and we intend to book David for a family photo shoot this summer too. Thanks David & Joanna! May 2024 - We have just received the photos from the engagement shoot we did with David a couple of weeks ago and they are great! Neither of us likes having our photo taken but David instantly made us feel really at ease and we enjoyed the session and had lots of laughs with him throughout it. Jenna Gwynne2024-03-28We are so glad we had David as our wedding photographer! Having our photo taken is definitely not our favourite thing but he managed to make us feel super relaxed. He had a great way of using humour to get smiles out of all our guests for photos too and even managed some smiles from the toddlers! He met with us virtually before the wedding day to get an idea of what we wanted and chatted through ideas. I’d highly recommend!
