“Big Day Weddings” – it’s a name we came up with ages ago, which really means us: David and Joanna 🙂
We specialise in relaxed, natural and editorial inspired photography, with a dash of epic thrown in for those who love that look. Our coverage can be laid back and unobtrusive, or more upfront if you like. That’s absolutely your choice – always.
As a couple ourselves (married at good old Islington Town Hall) we capture images to both thrill you, and stand the test of time. Basically, the kind of photos that we wanted for our own wedding day! We document everything, everyone, and every moment we possibly can.
You’ll get great natural, candid, and striking images in every venue, day or night, with no awkward posing, and spontaneous meaningful moments guaranteed.
YOUR wedding, YOUR way, is OUR way too.
We photograph full-time, and have an enduring passion for what we do. We are not secretly in IT during the week! 🙂
Right from the very beginning we really listen to what you value, and we love working closely together to achieve this. We are naturally ‘people’ people, and we blend in seamlessly with everyone throughout your wedding.
We capture your ‘big day’ the way you want it, typically in a candid documentary style, but with a flair that we are told sets us apart. We have also been described as Alternative London wedding photographers, and are often booked for Boho and quirky weddings too.
Massive congrats to B & P, a lovely couple married at Chelsea Old Town Hall this weekend. What a pleasure! Albert Bridge featured here, was a special place for them so we headed down there after the ceremony. It’s such a beautiful structure, especially at night. A real architectural wonder of London. I know these guys are going to have a brilliant future. They also dance a mean Argentinian Tango! Reception at Beaufort House then Bluebird on the Kings Road.

Image three bride and groom under the spectacular dome. There’s nothing more iconic, nothing more historic central London than St Paul’s. It’s the second biggest church in the UK, and until 1963 it was the tallest building in London!

Ten images because I love documenting bride and groom’s prep on a wedding day. Here’s a few getting ready shots from lovely Katya and Matty’s fabulous wedding day at Wotton House in Surrey. There’s no denying it’s a fantastic wedding venue, but what really made this day was the couple themselves. For me it’s always the number one reason to accept a wedding commission, and these guys made it such a pleasure! I saw these images in black and white in my minds eye (couple’s always get the original colour versions too of course!) Here you can see a fantastic handmade bespoke wedding dress designed especially for Katya by the very talented Worme, and super wedding hair and makeup artist Amanda White. Shout out also to Tim Lewis Toastmaster too.

We have extensive experience of multiple venues around the country, and work in all the popular central London wedding locations i.e. Camden, Westminster, Clerkenwell, Islington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea to highlight just some of the more familiar ones. We photograph regularly at the Dorchester, Landmark, Claridges and Savoy Hotels, right through to unique and quirky venues for ceremonies and receptions like London Zoo, Lord’s Cricket Ground, The Gherkin, Trinity Buoy Wharf, The London Eye and Tower Bridge. We are at the big London registry venues multiple times a year, especially Islington Town Hall on Upper Street, Chelsea Old Town Hall on the iconic Kings Road, and last but certainly not least Old Marylebone Town Hall near Baker Street.
