David and Joanna (and their Son), did a fantastic job at our wedding on the 15th of June 2024 (and an engagement photoshoot). One of the things that stood out about them is that they were very friendly and really interested in what kind of photos YOU want, rather than coming in with their own preconceived ideas of how things should be. This was really appreciated as we wanted an emphasis on taking photos naturally, and capturing people without staging too much - they did a fantastic job! They were accommodating with our requests such as having one photographer follow each of us (at different locations) on the day, and being almost invisible on the day. I don't know how they managed it because they got some amazing shots of us at key moments, and I don't even remember them being close by! The photos were delivered in a timely manner and very easily accessible. As a cherry on top to give you an idea of how personable they are, when there was a brief shower on the day Joanna even lent me her umbrella, very kind! June 2024 (Review updated) - We have very quickly received the photos from our wedding day. They are great, a real mix of posed and natural photos of us and our guests, and of items/decorations. They all capture the day beautifully. We have received multiple versions of each photo which means we can choose the ones we like best and David has added filters to some which gives a different perspective. He has even sent us a DVD to music of selected photos which we are looking forward to watching in full and which will be great to show family (and he has helpfully added photo number at the top so we can find them). Many of our guests said how much fun David was, and that he really put them at ease. I am so pleased we chose Big Day Weddings as our photographers and we intend to book David for a family photo shoot this summer too. Thanks David & Joanna!

May 2024 - We have just received the photos from the engagement shoot we did with David a couple of weeks ago and they are great! Neither of us likes having our photo taken but David instantly made us feel really at ease and we enjoyed the session and had lots of laughs with him throughout it. What an amazing little afternoon, Dave was really professional and put us at ease immediately.  He had an excellent eye for detail and picked some fantastic spots for our photos - even if they felt unorthodox at the time. We are so glad we had David as our wedding photographer! Having our photo taken is definitely not our favourite thing but he managed to make us feel super relaxed. He had a great way of using humour to get smiles out of all our guests for photos too and even managed some smiles from the toddlers! He kept us at ease, knew all of the best shots for photos and even provided some light entertainment on the grand piano! The photos are amazing! The couple and group shots turned out really well, and so many nice ones that I've been finding it hard to narrow them down to only a few to share. I also love the couple ones that have been cropped / filtered, which gives a different and interesting look.
Thank you again for all your efforts, and for getting the photos sent over so quickly, I admired how you persevered with the venue to get us access to the other room to take the group shots, it really made a difference. And the variety of different locations you were able to take us to was great too! We booked David for our event with only a few days notice, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Despite his busy schedule, he was able to accommodate us and was extremely easy to communicate with. His pricing was very competitive, offering great value for his excellent service.

David was a pro at the event. He managed to get the best shots without being intrusive, maintaining a fun atmosphere during group photos. This balance of professionalism and approachability was noted and appreciated by many of our guests.

His quick turnaround in providing the photos in various formats post-event was impressive. Also, his familiarity with London venues (ours was at Clissold House - Hackney) added to the ease of the day. He already knew where to get the best shots and we're really happy with how they turned out.
