Landmark Hotel Wedding Video

By Barnet Wedding Photographers, Wedding VenuesNo Comments

As well as getting to work with some fantastic couples and exciting and varied venues as London wedding photographers, we also get to work with other great professionals in the industry too. We wanted to give a “heads up” to couples looking for videographers and cinematographers with a couple of recommendations for other suppliers we regularly shoot alongside. One of those is the man and wife team of John and Rachel De Rienzo of De Rienzo Films in London. You can find their website here: De Rienzo Films

We photographed together recently at the famous Italian Church in Clerkenwell, then around central London and finally finished up at the world renowned Landmark Hotel for Giulia and Antonio’s wedding and reception. A truely special and traditional London Italian wedding day. Watch the movie and you will be able to see myself and Joanna hard at work on the big day. Engagement shoot in Trent Park north London

wedding couple kissing in London forest

It goes without saying of course that we love a home counties or London wedding, but almost as much as that, we really enjoy our London engagement shoots. This particular day the chosen venue was Trent Park in the borough of Enfield. It’s a lovely spot with real variety in its terrain, from shaded woodland to open fields, a small lake, and some public spaces and cafes.

Here is Giulia and Antonio who were married at St Peters Italian church in Clerkenwell and then on to the fabulous Landmark Hotel on Marylebone road central London. As theirs was an urban wedding we decided that countryside would be a nice contrast to what was to come on the big date.

Hertfordshire engagement shoot by Trent lake

On the day of their traditional Italian wedding we were delighted to see that in a reception area of the Landmark that the newlyweds had created a signing book full of their favourite images from this shoot. It’s a great idea to use engagement images in that way and of course they can be used for invitation or thank you cards as well. Although we are very experienced at quickly putting people at ease on their wedding days some couples find it reassuring to have spent photography time with us beforehand. If nothing else it affirms to them how fun and undaunting in the right hands it can be.

We create spontaneous moments, but we also gently direct too because understandably most people have not thought about factors such as composition, lighting, flattering poses and angles when taking the average iphone shot! Trent Park is one of our favourite venues for this kind of engagement shoot and it is non weather dependent. We know this because we have actually photographed here in torrential rain! The couple on that day were completely unfazed and wanted to carry on, and we consequently had a great time. It made everything else on their actual wedding day and our time around the Tower Bridge area shooting a breeze!

Bush Hill Park Wedding

Bush Hill Park Wedding

Jill & Griff at Bush Hill Park Golf Club Enfield

It was raining, it was pouring but this Bush Hill Park Golf Club wedding was never boring!  Jill and Griff had a fantastic laughter-filled time with friends and family for their big day hosted at Enfield’s premier golfing venue. As a fairly private couple we have only included three images for this blog post to respect their sensibilities but wanted to say that despite the incessant heavy downpours that neither Joanna and I, nor Jill and Griff seemed to notice. All events from the civil ceremony, to dining, to evening reception took place at the club and went ultra smoothly, as the club is so used to hosting these special days. Popular with couples not just in Enfield and Winchmore Hill but north London and the Home Counties too. Chef Alisdair is excellent, as is Debbie – your very experienced and friendly wedding co-ordinator.

We like to mention other suppliers in our blog posts because those that really know their stuff and take pride in what they do deserve to be mentioned, as they will add so much more to the day. Another wedding professional well worth a mention was DJ Terry Lewis a multi award winning DJ who was charm personified. Guaranteed to be the life and soul of your party, apart from your lovely London wedding photographers, nothing is too much trouble and he never stops smiling! Just take a look at the party room shot before the guests arrive, there he is, grinning in the background. We know from a testimonial how much Jill and Griff valued his contribution. Bush Hill Park golf club was founded in 1895 as a nine hole course originally. It was converted to a full eighteen by 1913.  In the second world war it was leased to the Anti Aircraft Brigade. By Barnet Wedding PhotographersNo Comments

We would like to wish  all our previous wedding couples and their families, and those we will be working with in 2015, a very Merry Christmas and a happy safe and prosperous New Year to you all! We had a fantastic time in 2014 working with and meeting so many great people, and look forward to another twelve months of the same. Time for some family time, that is until our next wedding on the 27th. Here’s a Christmas kiss between us at St Pancras station taken by our youngest son.
