As Time Out Recommended London wedding photographers we have photographed in and around the capital for ten wonderful years now, and have been excited to be a part of so many fantastic wedding days. From small intimate Mayfair wedding venues, to large scale ceremonies at the likes of Westminster cathedral, iconic hotels such as the Dorchester and Savoy, to more unusual venues like Tower Bridge and London Zoo.  Great and lasting wedding photography is an art, and a demanding art at that. But as we demand much of ourselves, so the challenge to produce quality images time and again is an exhilarating one.

Yes, we work hard to create both memorable contemporary and traditional imagery, but as a couple ourselves, we never forget that we are being asked to be part of one of the biggest days in another couple’s life. (ok the birth of a child is pretty significant too of course…. we should know, we have four!) To really appreciate that you are there to take and “make” photographs that have to be special and stand the test of time, is important to keep you on your toes. Magical moments with friends and family? You have to be “in the zone” and ready with flair to capture it all. You have be creative and technical at the same time. There is no branch of photography more intense and pressured for a photographer than wedding photography. Thankfully we love that! That’s why we can look relaxed and happy throughout the day.

Before we met David lived and worked in Sydney Australia, and Joanna in the U.S.A. In our twenties we travelled extensively and experienced many of the great cities of the world. We can honestly say hand on heart that London is the greatest of them all (ok Sydney’s weather is better…) history, buzz, culture, architecture it’s all here, and as a backdrop in experienced hands, superior  London wedding photography beckons at every corner.

We live in London, we work full time as award winning London wedding photographers, we met here, our children were born here, and we have a passion for photographing weddings here. So if you’d like to talk about your London wedding venue or plans for your special day, give David or Joanna a call or email for a relaxed chat.

Hertfordshire Wedding Photographers

As well as photographing weddings across central and Greater London and picking up our Time Out Recommended status as Hertfordshire Wedding Photographers the last ten years have seen us working extensively across one of our favourite home counties. From Brockett  Hall to Tewin Bury Farm we have had the privilege of working with many wonderful couples on their most special of days. Whether they were looking for recognised shots such as the red bridge at Sopwell House St Albans, the country views of the Three  Lakes in Ware or the fountains of Fanhams Hall, we have been there, done them, but still worked every time for the freshness , spontaneity and creativity that a wedding day demands. Every couple is different, as is every wedding day, and no matter how many times we have photographed at a Hertfordshire wedding venue we approach it as if it were the first time. It’s not essential that your photographers have been to the venue previously, but it helps! Take a look at the links below…

"Photographer Brocket Hall"

As Brocket Hall wedding photographers of over 10 years busy experience, we have seen the wonderful romance of a wedding day unfold in surroundings from the most modest, to the unquestionably magnificent. Few places could be more romantic to celebrate your love with family and friends on your special day than at Brockett Hall near ourselves in Hertfordshire.

The hall has been home to two prime ministers and has welcomed King George IV among its many distinguished guests. Legend also has it that Lady Caroline Lamb first showcased the waltz to high society in its magnificent ballroom. The hall is licensed for civil ceremonies, so if you wish your whole day from wedding preparations of the bride and groom, through to reception, can be spent entirely at Brocket. In the hands of good wedding photographers Brockett Hall’s internal and externals are a beautiful backdrop for superior wedding photos.

We bring four of the highest quality cameras and specialist lenses to every wedding, to ensure that every significant moment is captured in the best possible way, for a lifetime of visually evocative memories. From romantic four poster bedrooms, down stunning stately staircases, through elegant drawing and dining rooms (even the toilets look fabulous!) this venue has it all in spades. Outside the grounds are varied, beautiful, and cry out for couples in love to be photographed in them! Lakes, bridges, waterfalls, secret and romantic nooks and crannies are everywhere. Thank you to Gill and Rob the special couple on this very windy April day…

Tower Bridge Wedding Photographers

One of the best things about being professional London wedding photographers, is the incredible and varied locations that couples choose to celebrate their special day in.  As Tower Bridge wedding photographers we have many times been able to work inside, outside, and alongside this most remarkable and famous Victorian landmark. Because of its classic look, we have photographed couples who want traditional wedding shots, right though to those that prefer more eclectic and contemporary looks and quirky locations. Its always important for photographers to remember they are in the service industry, and although they may have an individual style and approach, that they are there to give the bride and groom who pay for them exactly what they want, and more besides!

You can have an intimate civil ceremony in the Bridge Masters dining room part of the bridge, which is a very romantic location. Then you are able to have your reception in the wonderful dual blue walkways that span the bridge’s two towers. One of our favourite restaurants to eat in is Pont de La Tour at Butlers Wharf, and whenever we go we there we can look in any direction including towards the bridge and remember a happy day and corresponding couple who we have photographed there!

The four Thames side areas of the bridge all have incredible photographic opportunities for the trained eye, so much so that you need a plan with your wedding photographer, otherwise you could easily over run your big day schedule. Have a plan but of course there will be plenty of opportunities for spontaneity, and the more people skills your Tower Bridge wedding photographers have (read that as us..!) then the more natural you will look in your images.

A little bit of history…Construction work on Tower Bridge itself began in 1886 and was officially opened in 1894, though at the time not all of London was impressed with its design. Yet now when many people think of a London landmark they probably think of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and of course…Tower Bridge.

In 2011 Tower Bridge won the 2011 Event Magazine award for Event Space of the Year, we can certainly say it is one of the most memorable and special venues that we get to photograph in.
