Tower Bridge Wedding Photographers

One of the best things about being professional London wedding photographers, is the incredible and varied locations that couples choose to celebrate their special day in.  As Tower Bridge wedding photographers we have many times been able to work inside, outside, and alongside this most remarkable and famous Victorian landmark. Because of its classic look, we have photographed couples who want traditional wedding shots, right though to those that prefer more eclectic and contemporary looks and quirky locations. Its always important for photographers to remember they are in the service industry, and although they may have an individual style and approach, that they are there to give the bride and groom who pay for them exactly what they want, and more besides!

You can have an intimate civil ceremony in the Bridge Masters dining room part of the bridge, which is a very romantic location. Then you are able to have your reception in the wonderful dual blue walkways that span the bridge’s two towers. One of our favourite restaurants to eat in is Pont de La Tour at Butlers Wharf, and whenever we go we there we can look in any direction including towards the bridge and remember a happy day and corresponding couple who we have photographed there!

The four Thames side areas of the bridge all have incredible photographic opportunities for the trained eye, so much so that you need a plan with your wedding photographer, otherwise you could easily over run your big day schedule. Have a plan but of course there will be plenty of opportunities for spontaneity, and the more people skills your Tower Bridge wedding photographers have (read that as us..!) then the more natural you will look in your images.

A little bit of history…Construction work on Tower Bridge itself began in 1886 and was officially opened in 1894, though at the time not all of London was impressed with its design. Yet now when many people think of a London landmark they probably think of Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and of course…Tower Bridge.

In 2011 Tower Bridge won the 2011 Event Magazine award for Event Space of the Year, we can certainly say it is one of the most memorable and special venues that we get to photograph in.

Dorchester Hotel Wedding Photographers

As London Dorchester Hotel Wedding Photographers we are always aware of the rich and varied heritage of this most prestigious of London landmark hotels when we are there. The very name of Park Lane itself on which is stands, evokes memories for us of many childhood games of monopoly. Exicitedly acquiring that most valuable address, to put our little plastic virtual hotels on! Last year this famous luxury 5 star hotel celebrated its 80th anniversary. As a wedding venue the Dorchester exudes class in whichever direction you look. From an unprecedented eight banqueting suites, to fantastic cuisine and a truly special roof terrace. The Dorchester has been home to functions for royalty, presidents and high society since 1931, and is a sought after and unique wedding venue. It is licenced to hold civil ceremonies, as well as being one of central London’s most desireable reception destinations. It seems that even before the paint dried on this iconic London hotel, it was destined for greatness: Churchill and General Eisenhower set up residence there in the war, the legacy of which is now the Eisenhower suite.  And a seemingly endless procession of household names and stars have visited and stayed there. To name a very few: Alfred Hitchcock, Laurence Olivier , Vivien Leigh, Brigitte Bardot, Peter Sellers, Judy Garland, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, James Mason, Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner, Julie Andrews, Warren Beatty, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kim Basinger. Prince Phillip even had his stag there!

Leez Priory Wedding Photographers

Leez Priory Wedding Photographers

As Leez Priory wedding photographers there is no denying one thing, come rain shine snow or storm, whatever the weather Leez is a beautiful wedding venue. Our last wedding there showed almost every aspect that Britain’s weather has to offer: sunshine, rain, mist, clouds galore then clear blue skies, a golden sunset finishing with a beautiful moonlit night!

Leez Prior wedding venue was winner of Wedding Ideas Magazine’s best venue for two years in a row in 2007 and 2008. More below…

As a wedding photographer you have to love every moment there whatever the weather. You owe it to your happy couple, who have probably spent a small fortune securing the venue, to give them incredible photographic memories. A little bit of history now…

From the thirteenth century Leez Priory was home to a monastery (hence the name) and then three hundred years later the Earl of Warwick built the great house that we now see mainly today on and around the site. Among many famous visitors (including every wedding couple!) was Queen Elizabeth the first. It’s recent notable history is that in 1995 it became the first country house in England to be granted a licence to conduct civil ceremonies.

Enfield Wedding Photographers

Enfield Wedding Photographers

On our photographic travels around London and the home counties we have had the pleasure of photographing weddings in the borough of Enfield many many times. There’s no denying it’s a great place to live and work. Close to the countryside, but still a part of London. From Enfield registry office weddings to all the local churches, we have been there as Enfield wedding photographers in the last ten years! It’s not unusual (er….that’s a Tom Jones song isn’t it…..?) for couples to live in Enfield, get married there, but have a reception in central London or further afield. Many though opt for a local venue, and we are told by staff that nobody has been a wedding photographer for Enfield’s most popular wedding venue Royal Chace hotel more times than us in recent seasons! For a venue like that, or Forty Hall nearby, it means always bringing a fresh photographic eye to the days wedding images. Getting the must have shots, but also bringing in a sense of creativity to keep freshness is critical. Your wedding photographers should never go through the motions, but it is surprising how easy that is for full timers to get into. Needless to say we avoid this and love looking to make each wedding day photographically unique. Below are a couple of images taken recently at aRoyal Chace Hotel wedding receptions. Shots that are a little different to the traditional (we do those too of course) We should also mention the staff there are some of the best around in terms of efficiency and overall friendliness. Like ourselves it seems many of their customers come to them through word of mouth recommendation.

Central London Wedding Photographers “Big Day Weddings”

Central London Wedding Photographers

Well when you live in a suburb of London, what do you term yourself as? Barnet photographer, central London wedding photographers, Enfield, Mill Hill, Home Counties? – this is the region we live in but the area we cover ranges from Greater London to Europe! Recently David spent a day with Peter Prior a previous Cosmopolitan magazine Wedding Photographer of the Year. Peter works anywhere (he’s very very expensive by the way…) and told David he rarely meets couples before their wedding day. We on the other hand actively encourage people to meet their wedding photographers because they will be spending such a lot of time around them on their special day.

For some couples this is a decider, they want someone local to them they can visit easily, some times these wedddings are nearby, sometimes further afield. What if you live in Mayfair or Richmond for example (areas we do a lot of weddings in) and if you looked only physically locally to yourselves – perhaps you typed Central London Wedding Photographers into google, then you could well be doing yourself a disfavour, because a Barnet based wedding photographer could actually be your best choice! Where is this leading? Well actually all we were originally going to say today was how much we enjoy photography in Central London! For the trained eye there are incredible opportunites in the most unusual places for fresh exciting and memorable photos. Thing is, for the average wedding couple you may only have about twenty-five minutes allocated in your schedule to make those pictures, the photographer needs to have quick thinking creative vision, get the job done, but be relaxing and fun too, so another good reason to hire full time professionals to do that job for you. These are some of  the reasons we believe we are Time Out Recommended for London. We’ve now covered so many London streets, areas and landmarks with our wedding photography, we feel like we could moonlight sometimes as tour guides! So anyway,  here’s a few pics…
