What a crazy brilliant year 2017 was. So many lovely couples, venues and suppliers old and new that we worked with. So busy it felt like our feet hardly touched the ground, but it was both fun and exhilarating. Everything was delivered bang on time to our couples, and the only thing that suffered a little was the updating of this blog! Many many stories to share here over the next few weeks, at last!
The very start of the year saw us flying high in the sky again for another memorable wedding on the Official London Eye. Imagine that view combined with one of the greatest moments of a couple’s lives, and you get a sense of how special it can be to be a London wedding photographer.
Of course it wasn’t all central London this year. As usual we did our fair share of barns, farms and stately homes around the home counties and beyond. Particular favourites this time round were times spent photographing at Stoke Place, Fanhams Hall, Shendish Manor, Leez Priory and Woburn Abbey.
In central London we were delighted to be back at London Zoo, Lord’s Cricket Ground, Tower Bridge, Park Lane with the Sheraton, Four Seasons and Intercontinental Hotels, Claridges, the Connaught Rooms, and many of them more than two or three times. We certainly put lots of money into the hands of Pret-a-Manger as we prepared in the mornings for many of those big days!
It was also great to see many of our established friends in the industry too, the florists, makeup artists, wedding planners, video and cinematographers, toastmasters, great bands and fantastic DJ’s. You know who you are 🙂
And to the glue that holds this full-time vocation together for us, we say “thank you” to the lovely couples who we worked with on one of the greatest days of their lives as husband and wife! Many we keep in touch with and some have become great friends. Long may it continue.
Wishing all those we have mentioned a happy and healthy 2018!
